Cannot install kb2535818 for powerpoint 2010 in windows vista
I have windows vista operating system in my computer and I have recently installed the Microsoft office 2010 and after that it has find some update and while installing the kb2535818 for PowerPoint 2010 I get error. I don’t nkwo what is wrong with this please help me to solve this problem.

This problem occurs because update manager in your system thinks that you have Microsoft office 2007 component in your system and that is why installation fails again and again and try again repeatedly. I will suggest you to temporary install the MS 2007 viewer and after that installation process will get finish successfully.

You can also try to solve this problem by setting your updates temporarily to manual. If you want to set the updates manual then you have to open the control panel in your computer and then you have to click on the program and features and then you have to select the installed updates. Now after that you have to set the updates Download but let me choose whether to install them option. now after that system will not prompt you to install the power point updates again and again and then your problem will get solved.

I think you should try this solution and then your problem will get solved. if you are facing the same problem after trying the above tricks also then I think problem is with the MS office in your computer.

You can also try this steps to solve this problem.

* First you have to run the command prompt as administrator.
* After that you have to stop the service of the Windows update
* Now after that you have to change the name of the SoftwareDistribution to to SoftwareDistribution.old.
* Normally you can find the SoftwareDistribution under Windows folder.
* Now after that you have to start the windows update service.

If above solution does not help you to fix this problem then you should try to solve this problem by repairing the MS office 2010 and then your problem will get solved. I was also facing the same problem in my system and after that I have also tried the same solution and then my problem gets solved. I think you should also try this solution and then your problem will get solved.

I have installed the MS 2007 viewer in my system and after that also I didn’t get any help now after that I have also tried to solve this problem by repairing the MS office 2010 in my computer and after repairing the MS office also I was facing the same problem. now please tell me what should I do to solve this problem.

I will suggest you to you should uninstall the Microsoft office 2010 from your computer completely and after uninstalling the Microsoft office 2010 you have to restart the computer. Now after restarting the computer you have to install the MS office 2010 in your computer again.

You have to make sure that you have turn off the automatic updates. I hope after reinstalling the Microsoft office 2010 in your computer your problem will get solved.

In my case I was experiencing the same problem after doing the windows updates and after that I have tried many solutions to solve this problem but none of the solution helped me to solve this issue and after that I have tried to solve this problem doing the system restore and afetr doing the system restore all the things started working normally.

I will suggest you to that you should also do the system restore in your computer and after doing the system restores your problem will also get resolved.

To do the system restore you have to follow this steps.

* First open the start menu.
* Go to the programs.
* Go to the accessories.
* Go to the system tools.
* After that select the system restore.
* Now follow the screen instruction.
