Nokia C3: Duplicate File Finder

Duplic8 is an excellent duplicate file finder for those people with huge hard disks and many copies of the same files in different directories. I've used it for the past 3 years at least and have yet to find a newer util that does this job in a better manner.

Try Directory Report
I use Directory Report to find my duplicate files

It can find duplicate files based on the same name, size, CRC (32 bit hash) and/or comparing byte by byte

It has been tested on drives containing hundreds of thousands of files
It is very efficient - so it won't drag while scanning both of your disks

When you find a duplicate file you can:
Delete it to the recycle bin (safest)
Delete it permanently
Replace it with a hard link (Only if on the same disk)

You can generate reports of your duplicate files and send it to a printer or file

Try Duplicate Finder 2009 to find and delete duplicate files including mp3s, Advance marking system lets you select files by date, size, and several other criteria. Duplicate files can be deleted, moved, or copied.

Duplicate Finder 2009 search duplicates using byte by byte or crc32 to give you most accurate and faster results.

There are some programmes for XP to find duplicate files. I wanted to delete duplicate files. I used the programme duplicate finder 2009 for such aim. It helped me. This program is not only for the music, but for all files. And now it is more free place on my PC

I use Duplicate Finder from Ashisoft to find file duplicate from Drive.

yeah duplic8 is a nice tool i used it as well.yet to you are in search of a new tool so I can suggest u one . Its an amazing tool , I used it & found it
As i have to search for duplicates on network i used it , all the duplicates files that i want to manage were scanned by it.I am glad to share it with u , you can use it as well , it comes bundled with a software advanced system optimizer . Use its duplicate file remover.

Its scans all the files based on the search criteria mentioned by you, I thnk it uses CRC checksum to search for duplicates ..

From my own experience I recommend Duplicate Finder. It is useful utility for searching duplicate files and folders. It is ideal for Windows and Vista and has open source. You can test it and make decision about future use.
