Microsoft Office 15 New Features
Along with the windows 8 Microsoft released the Microsoft Office 15 and I have read some of news about this new product although I wanted to know what all the new features is there in Microsoft Office 15. I would like to download and install this product but before that I wanted to know what changes done compare to the previous version are. Thanks in advance….

There are lots of changes done with the word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook and OneNote. Here I have described the new features of Microsoft Office 15, I hope this helps you.

Microsoft Office Word 15

In Word 15 focuses on the easy writing and reading texts. While reading from the screen removed all unnecessary elements that interfere with reading. The text is automatically distributed over the entire width of the columns of the screen. Resume Reading feature allows you to return to that part of the document on which you closed it. Two other new features - Object Zoom and Expand and Collapse. Object Zoom allows you to increase the image inserted in the text, tables and graphs by double clicking the left mouse button. Expand and Collapse allows one-touch open or hide sections of text. In addition, improved navigation bar, scroll through documents has become more smooth, updated dictionary and translator.

With the Track Changes feature is joint work with the files. The function allows you to view Reply Comments to the text of comments. Word 15 user sees when and who left a comment. There is password protection. Present Online allows you to share files, Word 15 with other users via the browser (as implemented in PowerPoint 2010). There is support for file PDF - they are converted, the user can view these files as if they were compiled in Word. The menu options are there to customize the appearance of the document and pasting images from Facebook, Flickr and other services. On the touchscreen or tablet can navigate through documents in the touch mode.

Microsoft Office Excel 15

With Excel 15 is optimized for comfortable work with large amounts of data. Added a tool for Quick Analysis Lens, which allows quick access to visual information. Microsoft Office PowerPoint 15

Default aspect ratio of 15 presentations in PowerPoint will be 16:9. Widescreen presentation looks much better, because most of today's monitors and projectors have precisely this aspect ratio. Another innovation - Start Experience, which provides quick access to files added to your bookmarks, professionally painted patterns, and recent presentations. The new engine charting allows you to build charts from an Excel spreadsheet 15 and add them to your presentation without destroying the formatting. Navigating through slides on the touchscreen or tablet can be in touch mode. While reading in the presentation tab is added to the last viewed slide.

Microsoft Office Outlook 15

Despite the fact that Windows 8 is a new mail client, the company decided not to abandon Outlook and perfected it. A new feature allows users to view Peeks calendar, tasks and contact information. Weather Bar will know the weather forecast prior to the appointment or an event or making a decision about participation in the meeting. The post office will be responsible with one mouse click. All email accounts can be combined, including Hotmail and others. Improved animation when switching to emails, calendar and tasks, navigation buttons in the style of Metro occupy less space. There will be new command to allow the mail quick and simple steps.

Microsoft Office OneNote 15

For Windows 8 will be released version of OneNote Metro-15, however, and in the desktop version of the application will be added several new features. With the automatic update, users will be able to live to see the changes made to the accompanying notes to the Excel files and Visio. Improved working with tables: you can sort them, add captions and convert tables OneNote in tables that can be attached to files. Office 15, just like Windows 8, proposes a 'Metro interface that integrates seamlessly with the new release of Windows. According to Microsoft, all transactions will be simplified with the new interface Metro. All products in the suite have been improved: new graphics, new layout of the controls and, above all, dedicated controls for all new users of tablets and touch screens. Among the many new features, in fact, we find the introduction of Touch Mode, which allows you to resize the Ribbon interface, and other graphical components to better fit all at a touch-sensitive display.

I agree with Microsoft has invested heavily to improve the experience of writing and reading with Word 15. Among the many new features, we find the new features Read More, which allows reading of documents more convenient and faster, removing elements "too many" interface so simple and fast. In support of this new option is the Resume Reading, which allows the program to automatically store the location from where you stopped reading at an earlier time, facilitating a subsequent reopening of the file? Word 15 also allows you to zoom in and zoom out the display of images and other objects simply by double clicking on them. Other updates include scrolling, time stamp smooth, the ability to hide entire sections directly clicking on an option on the title, the dictionary and translations. According to me Excel has been improved in various respects, to facilitate the experience for all users. Microsoft has therefore decided to add Quick Analysis Lens, unprecedented function in Excel 15 that allows very fast access to the graphic representations of data. Fill flash allows instead reformatting and reorganizing the data in Excel spreadsheets with ease. Also have been introduced substantial improvements as regards the graphs, now characterized by a more marked dynamics, such as the animations. In addition, Power Point 15 have a more functional integration with external data sources - especially Excel - and a remarkable tablet with the convenience thanks to Touch Mode, which allows you to move through the slides using simple gestures.

The program Outlook 15 and One Note 15 improved the lots of things with the office 15 and here is list of new features:

* Ability to view your local weather in Outlook before you accept an invitation or planning a meeting
* Ability to respond faster to emails (one-click)
* New animations
* Interface redesigned for Metro One Note
* Improved support for tables in One Note
* Additional features exclusive to touch screens

i have also seen lots of issue and bug with the new Microsoft Office 15 and i will going to install Microsoft Office 15 after solving all bugs and issue. i have seen lots of users facing different issue on this product although these all not mentioned here...

Office 15 is not available except for a limited Beta test. The products are in testing and if you are testing Office 15, you are in violation of the non-disclosure agreement for discussing office 15.

Hi JulieS,
I read about Microsoft Office 15 on some news site, there are 100s other sites discussing about Office 15, please let me know if it is against agreement to discuss about this, I will ask mods/admin here to remove my posts from this topic.

There have been leaked images and comments about Office 15. However, those people leaking the images and comments are in violation of a non-disclosure agreement that anyone who is testing new releases signs.

You are not in violation unless you are a tech preview tester, and people here can post questions about Office 15, however, I would be in violation if I posted answers :-)

The sad thing is those people who violate the agreements are, in the end, hurting the eventual users. When a software company releases software for testing, the hope is that the testers help discover errors that get fixed before the product is released to the general public.
