One Click selecting Multiple Cells in Excel 2007
One click in Excel 2007 selects multiple cells below the click. Any suggestions on this glitch? It can't be a mouse problem because unplugging my mouse doesn't change the clicking phenomena. Some bugs we may just have to live with. I've had it happen recently when switching between Word 2007 and Excel 2007. Thanks a lot in advance.

you should try to hit F8 key from the keyboard of your computer. If F8 key did not seems to working for you than you can try to set Zoom level. I am not sure about that it will work for you or not. But you should try and let me know about.

In this particular situation i come to know that when i click on the top side of the cell i am able to select the single cell. However as i click at the bottom side of the cell it simply triggers the bug. I think it is a bug and it should be fixed by the Microsoft. Lets hope Microsoft will resolve the above mentioned issue as early as possible.

I am having temporary work around which you can try till Microsoft will fix the bug.
Whenever the problem is seems to appear you have to press Alt and select empty cell. After that one cell should be selected and ‘Research’ window should be pop on side. You have to click on X so that you can close the same. after that you will be able to select one cell at the time of one click.
