Error code: 536821760 at line 1773
I was running my system on windows XP Home earlier and wanted to change it to some other operating system. So I choose to install Windows XP Pro on my system. First I format my c: drive as it was directed to install the new one. And then I started installing Windows XP Pro on my desktop system. All the process went well and there was no error until when I restart my system it started checking my hardware configuration and it got stuck there. Giving an error as below:

I do not know where the problem has occurred. Can anyone help me out to get rid of this situation?

This problem can arise due to the damaged of RAM module or its slot is damaged. To overcome this problem of yours follow the instruction given below:

1. Remove extra RAM to the minimum it requires to run the installation.
2. If this the problem then replace the module with new RAM
3. Also you can try inserting them after your installation is completed
4. Try installing your RAM modules on different Ram slots which is not used
5. At the end if this does not resolve your problem try replacing your RAM modules.

Try rebooting your system and running it in safe mode. Follow the instructions given below:

1. Restart your system
2. Press F8 continuously to go to safe mode
3. Select safe mode from the option given to you
4. Click on start
5. Go to run
6. Type chkdsk
7. Press enter
8. Also try boot time check disk on your %WinDir% which occurs mostly at C:

You can also check the registry where the drivers are initialize. Make sure they points to pci.sys as it is used to work on interrupts and hardware guidance. Also, you can use computer management to check the status of the pci.sys driver. For this you need to follow the instructions as given below:

1. Click on start
2. Go to control panel
3. Double click on administrative tools
4. Go to device manager
5. Go to view tab
6. Check of NON-PnP driver tree
7. Now check the pci.sys driver
