How to convert .MIX files to .JPG
hello friends,

I have created some image files in Office 2000 which are stored in .mix file extension. But I need to open them in multiple platforms which .mix file format doesn't support. So I need to convert these files from .mix file format to .jpg file format. How can I do that ?
Any ideas....

try XnView.

XnView is a free software to view, organise, convert graphics and photos files or to create slide show, contact sheet, HTML pages.

It will also convert all your .mix photo files into standard .jpg format...

Re: How to convert .MIX files to .JPG
Do the following -

* Insert .MIX pictures into WORD documents and then save that document (using Save As) as a WEB PAGE.
* This will create a folder which contains the picture as a .JPG image.
* Copy/paste that .JPG file to your picture folder.
* Thus, you can convert your .mix pictures into .jpg images.

Hope this might help ......

Picasa is a Google's photo software (also called as Google Picasa).
With Picasa, you can edit, organize and share your pictures and small video flips on your computer and also create special effects just by one click.

It's free and easy to use .....

I am not aware about any converters for this, since .mix files are recognised by very limited applications. However you can try this option :

Copy - Paste the MIX image into a WORD document and Save that in JPG format

Tip - use Insert / Picture / select MIX option (from File) / RightClick / select COPY / Paste it.

Other option that preserves .mix objects requires Microsoft PhotoDraw and PhotoShop:

* Open a .mix file in PhotoDraw and click "Edit/Select All" to select all objects and click "Edit/Copy" to copy to clipboard.
* Open PhotoShop and Click "File/New..." In the "Preset" box select "Clipboard" then click "OK" to create empty image.
* Click "Edit/Paste"
* Alternatively you can copy individual .mix objects in PhotoDraw and copy/paste them into new PhotoShop layers. This preserves individual .mix objects.
