In MAC OS X Lion iCal event alerts not working
I have just upgraded my computer with MAC OS X lion and I facing problem with iCal. Whenever I create any new event in iCal and set alert for it after that it does not get saved. I don’t know what is wrong with this but this problem is frustrating for me. my calnder syncs with the google Please help me to solve this problem.

I think there is something to do with the Google. I will suggest you to first create a calendar which does not sync with the Google. Now after creating the calendar you have to save some events in that and set alert for it. If it gets saved properly then problem is with Google and if you get same problem after that also then some thing else is causing this problem.

After referring your solution i have created new Calander and then crated new event in that and then I was able to save alerts for it. Now please tell me what should I do to solve this problem?
