MacKeeper is a paid program, which costs about $ 40 for a single license, download-able for free with a trial period of 15 days, offering numerous services, which mainly concern the control of the data, cleaning up your Mac, the Mac optimization and security of your Mac. Control Data has some useful services, starting from the Data Encryptor allows you to hide files from the Finder and to protect them by password within the program itself. There is also a service Backup, Online Storage and research of accidentally deleted files (undelete), but another interesting service is the Shredder, which allows you to delete files from any Mac without any chance to find them, and to do Just drag the files over the great icon of the "Shredder".

i think the mackeeper is better than onyx, MacKeeper offers the opportunity to clean and eliminate unnecessary gigabytes of files, and scan your Mac just click One-Click Scan in the menu to find all types of junk files. Between binary unused languages ??will surely unnecessary to remove a few gigabytes of data. Attention to the category "Old Files", in which one must be very careful to delete files in that category because it will simply MacKeeper all files older than 5-6 months, but that could still serve a day. Also in the cleaning of the Mac, this program allows you to view the disk space used by each folder on your Mac and run safely uninstall all the apps.

Another important element is the optimization of the Mac section, where you can see all the apps that need an update, see all the apps that open when you start your Mac and manage extensions for every single app.

MacKeeper and does not lack features. You will find an antivirus protection system against theft (in case of theft, the computer can be found and MacKeeper can take a picture with the iSight on the Mac), a backup manager, one that recovers deleted files , contrary to a permanently deletes files, and another which encrypts the data and even, soon, online disk space to the image of what the iDisk or Dropbox offer. The software also allows you to clean your Mac: you can delete caches and logs, as well as languages or binary unused applications. A utility has the duplicate files, another disk space used by your files, last one to completely remove applications.

Re: Is it worth to buy a Mackeeper for Mac OS X
MacKeeper contains three so-called optimization tools: the first maintains updated the applications installed on the Mac, the second runs the applications that start automatically at startup and the last provides a comprehensive overview of the default applications associated with the extensions. regret that the system optimization tools, such as those operated by Onyx for example, are not offered at the same time.
