Not able to open AVI, WMV, MPEG and JPEG files properly in windows media player
From last some days mine windows media player not working at all and I am facing this issue on windows 7. Everything was working perfect but when I try to open the AVI, WMV, MPEG and JPEG files windows media player and I am not able to open this files but thumbnail in the taskbar which I then need to click again to open normally. I have tried the lots of solution to open the AVI, WMV, MPEG and JPEG files properly in windows media player but no result. Can anyone help on this issue?

Do the following setting and after that let me know the issue. to do this first open the windows media player and under that choose the organize at the top left and select the layout and after that chose the menu bar. Now on the menu bar make click on the view and under that make check mark on the fit video player on resize and fit video to player check boxes and after that choose the 100% screen and after that let me know the issue.

I think the windows media player will not play the AVI format file and to play these type file you need to make use of the windows media encoder and so that your able to play this type of the song. If you have installed the any CODEC file on your windows media player then make sure that you have installed the proper or latest CODEC file and after that let me know the issue.

If above solution not working to solve the issue and then I would like to suggest you to make uninstall the windows media player and after that install it again and after that you’re able to solve the issue. to uninstall the windows media player you need to go through the following steps: first make click on the start icon on the desktop and after that choose the control panel. Now on the control panel go to the uninstall program and under that select the windows media player and once you finish the uninstalling and after that reboot and then install the windows media player again.

Make use some of the other media player on your system and so that you’re able to play the all type of the songs that you want. There are lots of media player are free like VLC player, Power DVD player, Nero vision etc. install anyone of them player and after that you can solve the issue.
