Osx Lion 10.7.3 can't install Vmware Tools
Hi guys and gals im running on windows 7 with Vmware Workstation 8 a OSX Lion 10.7.3 virtual machine all is working well except i can't install Tools when i click on the Install Tools i get this error "Could not find compononent on update server. Contact VMware Support or your system administrator." i searched around and could not find a helpfull link . Can someone please help me out ?

Might be a bug as it was there in "VMware Player 4.02" a no of people had faced the same error and later they had switched to 4.0.1 for solving out the same. what is the complete version of the Vmware Workstation 8 that you are using??? is it 8.0, 8.0.2 or so???

8.0.2 build-591240 . So what you are saying is to uninstall and try with an older stable version of VmWare . I will try that later this day and come back with my results , thx .

Yes you can try out VMware Player 8.0 and see if it is helping,post back your result that you get.

Sorry i had to leave with work and was absent for some time now, now that i had come back home i tried to install vmware 8.0 and i only see the gray Apple logo when i try to start the virtual image and with vmware 7.0 it won't work at all . I hope il still get a reply from you Kh@LnaYaK but apparently the only vmware version on which my lion 10.7.3 dmg will work is vmware 8.02 without tools of course and proper resolution.
