PowerPoint 2002 freezes upon editing PPT presentation
I am using Powerpoint 2002 in MAC computer from the past few years. Powerpoint files are formed by new homework. The freezing issue was started just a few days ago. Whenever I try to edit the presentation or do something on it, the freezing issue starts. The issue first started when I try to insert slides from the existing presentation to the new one. Then it continues to further processes. Does anybody else aware about this issue?

Run memtest to check the performance of your RAM. MemTest assesses the aptitude of the memory of your PC to store and get back data. A correctly working PC must be capable to perform these tasks with 100 percent accuracy. If your PC does not provide this declaration, maybe for the reason that they have older hardware, it is spoiled or misconfigured, it will be less stable and will fall more often. I am telling this because the concurrent processes are handled by the RAM. If it cannot handle correctly then the application will surely going to freeze.

The reason for this behavior is the lack of tools or features in Microsoft Office 2002, by which were created by a presentation in Microsoft Office 2010. That though is to try to correct this situation, save the file in. Ppt and check. Most likely, some charts are not available for use or modification. On the other hand as told in above post the MemTest app will permit users to ensure your RAM is functioning correctly. Not like further testing programs, MemTest is intended to come across each and every one types of memory errors counting irregular issues. To execute this, you require running for more than a few hours with the intention of appropriately charge the RAM.

I have experienced this similar problem. It consequences from a fresh Microsoft security patch intended for Power Point 2002/2003 (Microsoft Security Bulletin MS11-022). There is a hotfix obtainable in support of together versions. Though, it seems that during the procedure of opening a Power Point presentation devoid of having hotfix installed, the file can turn out to be corrupt. Microsoft is at rest operational on this in addition to considering if there is a method to "repair" the corrupted files.

It seems to me that you have installed the 2 versions of Microsoft office suite and due to this you are getting issue while opening and editing the ppt presentation. As far as I know that you are able to open and view and edit PowerPoint 2002 files in higher version but you cannot open the higher version files on PowerPoint 2002. If you forcely try to open it, it may open but crashes when you try to do anything in it.

It is clear that if this happens you only have presentations last but not the former, it means that files can have some degree of damage or simply be too large, you have to look at the size they have and if they are too large could conclude that you lack memory, if the files are small and have others like you can see, it meant that the latter could be damaged and you should ask again.
