Unable to update the windows 7 error: “Can't install updates KB982526 & KB982526”
I bought the new Dell computer I have installed the Windows 7. I updated Windows 7, from the last two days I was constantly receiving error message saying that you cannot install updates KB982526 and KB982526. I tried to solve this problem by updating Windows 7 but not working. I tried several times daily. After a few days I went to Microsoft support to resolve this problem, I downloaded the files and updated according to the instructions of Microsoft support. But I cannot solve this problem after updating the file so can anyone give solution for me, I'm helpless.

I'd suggest removing all temporary file and again to download all the files and install the setup program. To remove all temporary file that must keep pace with some of those present. Select the Start icon and click operation. Under implementation have to type% temp% and click the OK button. Now open a folder found some files, here you have to delete all these files. Now reboot and try to download or install the Windows Setup program again. I think this will help more.

I had same problem on my system. To resolve this it is necessary to restore the windows update components of this will help a lot. This realignment will help to restore the registry. To do this, follow the steps here are some: - select the home icon on the desktop and choose the run, under run you need to type CMD, now the symbol of the system. Now you have to stop Intelligent Transfer Service in the background and the Windows Update service to do so, follow these steps. Under the command system has to write: - net stop bits, and then press ENTER. After you stop wuauserv new type of network. This command will stop the services. After that now you might remove the files qmgr *. Dat, for this type the following command at the command prompt: -del "% ALLUSERSPROFILE% \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Network \ Downloader \ qmgr *. dat "Then type this to delete all qmgr *. dat. Now this is the step to register Intelligent Transfer Service and windows update files. To do this, type the following command at the command prompt , here is to hit enter after each command.
• regsvr32.exe atl.dll
• regsvr32.exe urlmon.dll
• regsvr32.exe mshtml.dll
• regsvr32.exe shdocvw.dll
• regsvr32.exe browseui.dll
• regsvr32.exe jscript.dll
• regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll
• regsvr32.exe scrrun.dll
• regsvr32.exe msxml.dll
• regsvr32.exe msxml3.dll
• regsvr32.exe msxml6.dll
• regsvr32.exe actxprxy.dll
• regsvr32.exe softpub.dll
• regsvr32.exe wintrust.dll
• regsvr32.exe dssenh.dll
• regsvr32.exe rsaenh.dll
• regsvr32.exe gpkcsp.dll
• regsvr32.exe sccbase.dll
• regsvr32.exe slbcsp.dll
• regsvr32.exe cryptdlg.dll
• regsvr32.exe oleaut32.dll
• regsvr32.exe ole32.dll
• regsvr32.exe shell32.dll
• regsvr32.exe initpki.dll
• regsvr32.exe wuapi.dll
• regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll
• regsvr32.exe wuaueng1.dll
• regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll
• regsvr32.exe wups.dll
• regsvr32.exe wups2.dll
• regsvr32.exe wuweb.dll
• regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll
• regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll
• regsvr32.exe wucltux.dll
• regsvr32.exe muweb.dll
• regsvr32.exe wuwebv.dll
It is now necessary to reorganize the Winsock. To do this, type the following at the command prompt: - netsh winsock reset and press ENTER. Finally, reinstall the new update of Windows. I hope this will solve your problem.

I would suggest checking the Windows Update. I had same problem on my system and I have gone through to troubleshoot Windows Update. First you need to check the update has been installed. To check this, follow these steps.
Select the Start icon,
choose the program all
under the all programs chose the Windows Update or Microsoft Update,
Now on the website, select the review your update history, as they confirm that if you see green in the state.
Then it means that you have installed the updates. If red is not installed files have been updated. Now if you see red in the category of state, then you have to reinstall Windows 7 in safe mode. And you're problem to overcome.
