Can I still upgrade to office 2011 free through Microsoft
I have bought the office 2008 from Microsoft for my Mac Computer just 2 weeks before the 2011 was came out and when I have purchased the office 2008 I have guaranteed that I can receive a free upgrade to office 2011 but there is no information about the download inside the box , now I want to upgrade to office 2011 but I don’t know whether the free download to office 2011 is still available or not ,if not then how did I miss the download, if anyone having the information regarding this issue then please recommend me.

I think you have to download the upgrade office 2011 at the time the offer was available and now you cannot upgrade to office 2011 because you have missed the free download and that promotion ended in the December 2010.

The Microsoft technology guarantee program allows the customer that have purchased the office for Mac 2008 product to receive a corresponding office for Mac 2011 product at the time when it is available, now the Microsoft technology guarantee program states that the office for Mac 2008 offer ended in the December 31 2010 and the free upgrade to office 2011 also ended and now you have to buy office for Mac 2011 again.

I have bought the office for Mac 2008 from Microsoft for my Mac computer and I have also received a guarantee from Microsoft that I can receive free upgrade to office 2011, and in the available period I have upgrade to office 2011 through the technology guaranty program and it works fine for me but now I wanted to reinstall the office 2011 but the problem I am facing is that I have lost the installation disk , I want to ask that how can I reinstall the office 2011 without having the installation disk ,please help me.

If you have already installed the office for Mac 2011 through the technology guarantee program then you can easily reinstall the office 2011 using the product key that is provided to you by the technology guarantee program ,you just have to download office for Mac 2011 from the Microsoft digital download side and then start the installation by double clicking the file you have downloaded. when the screen appears says that “welcome to office: Mac 2011” then select the ‘enter your product key’ option just read the software license agreement and click on continue. finally enter your product key and you are done with the reinstall of office 2011.

If you have not upgrade to the office for Mac 2011 in the available period provided by the Microsoft technology guarantee program then you should contact to the Microsoft I think they will provide you the way how to upgrade to office 2011 using the office 2008.
