Workbook re carry forward total in Excel
I am using Excel and have a workbook of 4 pages worksheets and i want to be able to carry the 3 individual totals from the three individual pages forward onto the first page which is my summary page. I have been searching through the help files but can’t find a simple way of doing this. I have tried to copy the total cell on an individual cell and pasting it into the summary page but I keep getting a “ref” error. How can this be done and will it also work in later versions of Excel? Please respond with your advice

Re: Workbook re carry forward total in Excel
According to my information If you want to pickup a value on Plan2 or Plan3 or other plan and show it on Plan1
do this:

* Select the desired cell. eg: A1 on Plan1
* Type the signal =
* Go to the worksheet on the cell that have the data desired and CLICK on that. eg: F6 on Plan2
* Press ENTER

Now you can see that on Plan1 cell A1, you have the formula below: =Plan2!F6
You can type directly on any cell on Plan1 the same formula. And after that Select A1 and type =Plan2!F6 or Plan2!H2 or Plan3!G8 or Plan3!L1 or Plan4!T12 It works the same.
