Acrobat Reader X on a LAN environment
In our office we are effectively running the Reader 9.4.5 on our LAN, deployed by the use of GPO. I encompass Reader X customized through the admin kit and I've pressed it out toward our test group using GPO. Up to now so good. I'd be concerned to recognize if whichever of you have deployed Reader X on top of your LAN and if there were whichever problems.

From the Internet to download the required software consists of two main components.

* Adobe Customization Wizard that allows the customization of Acrobat Reader.
* Acrobat Reader X located in the desired language.
* For deployment, the Active Directory environment.

When we first organized Reader X we ran into situations with our Win7 users. The plan was to let the provision redesign itself (we're too small to have the chance to prod out redesigns for every little item), but it could unfailingly instant for admin rights on non-admin users, which was a pain. Luckily, as of the 10.1 upgrade, Adobe has adapted the updater for the purpose that it no longer needs admin rights and will noiselessly overhaul out of sight at any rate within 10.x; a move to, declare, 11.0 will need admin rights again).

Adobe is beginning to copy MS for their instructive authorizing. Cheerfully, they'll do the same for corporate authorizing.

After installing the new Adobe Reader X can occur under Windows XP, that when you open a PDF document from a network drive, with the message "Opening this document is an error. Access is denied. "Welcomes. Apparently it comes with Windows XP for this behavior, if enabled protected mode will attempt to open the Adobe Reader 10.0 on a DFS share (\ \ Domäne.tld \ DFSROOT \ share) a PDF document.

PDF Creator has been installed on the server and is available as a shared printer on a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 with all updates installed. The PDF is saved in the user's personal network drive. My PC is Windows XP SP3 with all updates and Adobe Reader X.
