Unable to update Openoffice Manually
Hello I have installed the Openoffice and every time when I try to update Openoffice I get error message saying that:” Could not establish network connection to update36.services.openoffice.org.”. I am trying to update manually. I am using Openoffice 3.0 and along with Comodo Internet Security 5.8 w DNS on windows XP service pack 3. Can anyone tell how can update Openoffice to latest version.

Re: Unable to update Openoffice Manually
You can’t update Openoffice to latest version that is 3.1 because the latest version of source code has been donated to Apache and I have found lots of people facing issue with new version and due this devs are adjusting the code so it suits Apache's licensing rules and solve the issue. Till solving issue I would like to suggest you to use the Libreoffice and this same feature as Openoffice.

Re: Unable to update Openoffice Manually
First of I would like to suggest you to disable the Online update and after that try to update manually. To disable the online updated you need to go through the below steps: it in the OOo properties Tools>Options>OOo>Online update. Now once you disabled the online updated and after that turn off the firewall and then try updated manually.

I would like to suggest you to go through the below link and after that download the latest version of Openoffice and then install it on your system if above all steps not working to solve your issue. Even I have got this issue and after that I have uninstalled the Openoffice which I have installed and after that gone through below link and downloaded and installed the latest version. Now I have Openoffice 3.3 version. Click here to download latest version of Openoffice.
